  • Dinner at Owens at 7pm this Thursday (9/10/09)
  • Bible study at BCM at 8pm this Thursday (9/10/09)
  • Scripture for Bible study this week: Genesis 15:1-6, 16:1-4, 16:15-16, 17:15-21, 21:1-7, 22:1-14

Greetings Purple Family,  this is Andrew Brown and I hope that you all are doing well.  We will continue to meet at Owens for dinner before Bible study at 7pm.  We usually eat over on the side of Owens with the TV’s.  After dinner we will meet in the TV room at BCM (first room on right downstairs) for Bible study at 8pm.  This week we will be continuing our study on the genealogy of Christ by studying more about Abraham’s life.

There is a lot that happens to the guy after all. The section we will look at is found all over Genesis. We will be hopping around from chapter 15, 16, 17, 21, and 22. The verses are listed above but I encourage you to read the entire chapters for some more insight. They aren’t too long but I understand if that seems like a lot of reading on top of school stuff. Hope all of you have a great week.

Sincerely,

Andrew Brown of Purple

Hello Purple Family, this is Andrew Brown and I hope that you all are doing well. This week we will be meeting at Owens for dinner before Bible study at 7pm. We usually eat over on the side of Owens with the TV’s. After dinner we will meet in the TV room at BCM (first room on right downstairs) for Bible study at 8pm. This week we will be starting off our study on the genealogy of Christ by looking at the story of one of his earliest ancestors Abram, later called Abraham. The section we will look at is found in Genesis 12:1-20.

I really want to encourage you all to read and reflect on these passages and the context before and after them. I don’t want you to look at it as another homework assignment but rather an opportunity to enhance what you can get out of Bible study. I understand if you are busy and are not able to, but I will list the verses for each week for those of you who would like to read before Bible study. Generally, I will try to send out the email earlier in the week so that you all will have more time to read and reflect. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please feel free to email me at allerick@vt.edu and ask.

Sincerely,

Andrew Brown of Purple
